Our Story
Above & Beyond Support was founded during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when people with disabilities faced even greater barriers to accessing consistent and high-quality support. As services across the sector became disrupted, it became clear that many individuals and families were left without the essential care they relied on. Recognising this urgent need, Above & Beyond Support emerged with a commitment to provide dependable, person-centred support that would not falter in times of crisis.
From the beginning, the organisation was built on the belief that everyone deserves dignity, stability, and meaningful connection — especially during uncertain times. Above & Beyond Support prioritised flexible, responsive and person-centred approaches to support, ensuring that participants continued to feel safe, supported, and empowered despite the challenges of the pandemic. What started as a mission to bridge a gap in a difficult moment has since grown into a lasting commitment to raising the standard of disability support across the community.
